Job Description

The Trainer will support the credit union in developing the skills and knowledge of its staff through the facilitation, delivery, and design of effective trainings. Responsible for creating, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs. Serves as a liaison between vendor system developers/administrators and staff. Develops and delivers human skill elements for staff while providing effective learning skills labs to practice their new skills.

Normal Day-to-Day Work
  1. Facilitate and develop training utilizing different delivery methodologies including Virtual Instructor Led Training, in-person training, computer based training, and other methodologies.
  2. Coordinate technical, human skill, and other trainings for various departments within the organization. Facilitate interactive and scenario-based learning.
  3. Analyze system software and hardware to understand functionality to create training materials (course outlines, lesson plans, background material, instructional materials, and training aids).
  4. Review and edit documentation for compliance, accuracy, completeness, consistency, and standardization.
  5. Deliver systems and other training and provide follow-up, reinforcement, and sustainability activities.
  6. Effectively manage time and resources to ensure that training is completed efficiently and within the deadline.
  7. Continually assess training programs and effectiveness, and actively ensure the organization is up to date and current with latest learning standards, methods, and tools as well as credit union industry laws, regulations, compliance standards and best practices.
  8. Collaborate with operational teams, vendors and consultants to meet training needs.
  9. Coordinate new hire training processes, such as assigning training, new hire communication and verifying training requirements have been met.
  10. Support team initiatives such as ecourse design, multimedia editing, communication, storyboarding and LMS administration task.
Job Qualifications

Here are a few skills you MUST have to be considered for this position.
  1. 4 to 6 years of experience developing and delivering technical training in a professional environment using classroom using ILT, VILT, and other methods.
  2. Excellent written and oral communication skills, planning and organization skills.
  3. Ability to effectively build relationships, contribute as a team member, work independently and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  4. Ability to function in an office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.
  5. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer).
  6. Travel is required.
Here are a few qualifications we'd LIKE you to have to make you more suited for this position.
  1. BS/BA degree in Learning and Development, Education, Business, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. Financial services knowledge and/or experience.
  3. Sales and customer service training experience.
  4. Administration of a learning management system.
  5. Experience with Fiserv DNA
  6. CPTD or APTD certification is preferred.
  7. Familiarity with learning & development design tools (Articulate 360, Vyond, Adobe Creative Suite, etc).
