We are seeking a Staff UX Researcher with a passion for driving research initiatives and excelling in a collaborative environment. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Design to establish and lead our user research practice. You will own and drive the Research Roadmap, prioritizing research opportunities in partnership with Product Designers, Product Managers, Operations, and Revenue teams. Your responsibilities will include planning, conducting, and synthesizing research studies, transforming findings into strategic and actionable insights. By collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, you will advocate for both business and customer needs, utilizing innovative research methodologies to enhance your impact as a researcher and strategist.

This hybrid role is based out of our Los Angeles office and requires in-office presence at least 2-3 times a week.

About Role:

• Own and drive the Research Roadmap : Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Operations partners to prioritize research opportunities, ensuring we build the right things the right way.
• Plan, lead, synthesize, and present research studies : Conduct research and share findings across the organization.
• Transform research findings into design strategy : Use storytelling to present insights and shape design decisions.
• Establish buyer and seller councils:
• Advocate for customer needs and motivations : Ensure our product roadmap delivers holistic value for the business.
• Collect and synthesize user research : Use qualitative interviews, user testing, workflow audits, field visits, surveys, and online experiments (A/B testing).
• Lead and mentor research-focused designers : Help designers develop their research skills.
• Leverage AI capabilities : Use evolving AI tools to maximize your impact as a researcher and strategist.

About You:

• 5+ years of experience driving user research in a fast-pace outcomes oriented environment
• Demonstrated excellence turning observations into insights into strategies that teams can leverage immediately
• Comfort operating inside of ambiguity and the ability to create clarity for you and your team
• End to end experience across the research process including planning, executing, documenting, and presenting research studies
• A master of craft and an ability to own and drive the operational needs of the research function

Our total compensation for this position can range from $150,000 to $200,000 depending on location. The actual amounts may vary based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities related to the position.
