The base salary for this position is $90,000 to $105,000
Position Overview Analysts assume a critical role in the entire transaction process, including the initial pitch, due diligence, preparing a written prospectus or memorandum, meeting with potential investors/buyers, negotiating key terms, closing the deal and maintaining the client relationship.
Analysts work on a variety of transactions, including equity offerings, M&A advisory assignments, private equity placements, and strategic options studies. Our small deal teams and our focus on middle-market, high-growth companies afford our juniors the unique opportunity to work directly with senior-level client executives and top-level bankers.
Primary responsibilities: - Work closely with senior bankers and client management teams on a variety of corporate financial advisory engagements, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and financial restructurings
- Draft client marketing materials, including pitches, information memoranda and management presentations
- Support the development of qualitative and quantitative analyses and presentation materials
- Financial modeling and valuation analyses
- Work with management teams and buyer/seller groups to coordinate due diligence efforts
- Research industry trends, companies and investors
- Other internal projects as needed or assigned
- Maintain a positive and supportive firm culture, focused on the effective delivery of world-class service to our clients
Requirements: - 1-2 years' experience in investment banking
- An undergraduate degree; outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated quantitative capability
- Strong analytical skills
- Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of basic accounting, financial and valuation concepts
- Motivated to develop high-quality work, attention to details, and takes initiative
- Excellent quantitative and technical skills, including advanced Microsoft Office skill set
- Self-motivated team player with proactive work habits and a strong work ethic
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented work environment
- Client service mindset
- Preferably FINRA licensed SIE and Series 79 and 63
