Job Description

Shodair is looking to add a part time Guest Teacher to our team of educators! This position assists in providing a well-organized and smoothly functioning classroom environment in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures of the hospital. The Guest Teacher works with the Education department to provide staff coverage when needed, and works to support the students of Shodair.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

• Has prior experience in a classroom or educational setting
• Can perform instructional duties which have been planned, assigned and organized by professional staff
• Can maintain active supervision of the students in the classroom
• Has great communication skills and can de-escalate students
• Is flexible and can cover any classroom as needed.

Requirements

Education, Training and Experience; Certification/Licensure

• Required -High School Diploma required. Position requires Criminal Records Background Check.
• Preferred - Bachelor's of Eeducation degree preferred. Montana teaching certificate preferred. Special education endorsement preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with emotionally disturbed children preferred.
