As the Director of Video Production at Hear.com, you will lead our video storytelling efforts. Your creative vision and expertise will be essential in producing high-quality video content that showcases our state-of-the-art hearing aids and narrates their profound impact on our customers' lives. You'll collaborate with a talented team on projects, including website and YouTube content, Facebook advertising, branding campaigns, product launch material, interviews, explainer videos, UI animations, and internal communications.

During a typical day, you will be:
  • Storytelling Expertise Across Channels : The ideal candidate excels at crafting compelling narratives tailored for various platforms and audiences, including websites and social media. They have a proven track record of adapting stories to fit each channel's unique characteristics and audience, ensuring cohesive and engaging storytelling that amplifies the brand's message and meets strategic objectives across all digital landscapes.
  • Content Strategy : Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop video content strategies that align with hear.com's goals and initiatives.
  • Video Production : Demonstrate expertise in independently shooting, editing, and producing high-quality video content that aligns with hear.com's brand and marketing objectives. Additionally, the candidate should be able to collaborate effectively with marketing managers and the rest of the creative team, including the Creative Directors, Copywriters and other designers to enhance production value and meet strategic goals.
  • Editing Expertise : Utilize advanced video editing software to create engaging, visually appealing, and informative videos for various purposes.
  • Multimedia Integration : Integrate graphics, animations, and other multimedia elements into videos to enhance storytelling and engagement.
  • Photographing and filming products
  • Set management, props, backdrops, lighting, and sound recording equipment.
  • Managing the media assets library
  • Keeping track of studio equipment inventory
  • Driving direct response creative inspiration and integrate ideas into our main content themes
  • Providing input on other creative work with an eye on conversion and optimizing video content to improve performance
Your Profile:
  • You have 4+ years of experience with a strong showreel/portfolio that demonstrates your creativity and range; and ideally, you have formal training in filmmaking, video production, design, animation, or motion graphics
  • You feel at home using Adobe Premiere, Audition, and After Effects
  • You're comfortable working with a team and being extremely independent, and willing to execute all aspects of production, from pre-pro through editing.
  • You have excellent communication skills and interviewing experience
  • You have extensive expertise in using professional-grade video and audio recording equipment
  • You can elevate video and sound quality in post-production
  • You have experience producing content for online marketing, or you're excited by the opportunity to create engaging content that both builds our brand and generates revenue
  • You are equally comfortable working entirely independently, leading creative projects, and supporting other members of the team
  • You have experience with web/app-based animations and Cinema4D
  • You have experience in independent content creation (in front of and behind the camera)
