We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Administrator to join our team in the fast-paced Engineering/Construction Services industry. This is a permanent position, offering an incredible opportunity for a tech-savvy individual to apply their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure including servers, network equipment, and desktop/laptop systems.
2. Administer and support core Microsoft, Cisco, and VMware technologies.
3. Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure that all systems support the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of end users.
4. Manage Active Directory, SCCM, and other key systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
5. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications.
6. Manage and oversee the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access rights in compliance with best-practices regarding privacy and security.
7. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of new systems ensuring that business requirements are met.
8. Conduct regular system audits to ensure efficient and effective operation of all IT systems.
9. Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence.
10. Participate in the planning and implementation of future IT projects including hardware and software upgrades.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT administration with a focus on managing Active Directory and O365 accounts.
3. Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
4. Experience with scripting and automation tools.
5. A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
6. Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data to identify the root cause and develop effective solutions.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues in an easily understandable manner.
9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with minimal supervision.
11. Relevant professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) will be considered a plus.
