Job Description

Company Overview:   Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Concrete Finisher with successful and progressive experience in performing a variety of tasks including placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete.

Position Summary:   The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 1~2 years of experience as a Concrete Finisher.

Responsibilities:

• Operates a screed to level freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specification
  
• Smooth concrete surface using either a hand trowel, long handled “bull float” or powered float
  
• Cut joints/grooves in concrete with edging tools to help control cracking
  
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
  
• Monitor the wind, heat, and cold as it affects the curing of the concrete
  

Qualifications: ·

• Minimum of 1 ~ 2 years of experience as a concrete finisher is strongly preferred
  
• Experience working with sidewalks and/or curbs is strongly preferred.
  
• Must have a valid Driver's License
  
• Must have good vision, stamina, good hand eye coordination, and an ability to estimate size and dimensions
  
• Skill in smoothing, finishing freshly placed concrete, applying surface treatments, and restoring concrete surfaces
  
• Required to perform task that include heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching
  
• Must be able to work outdoors in areas that are dusty or dirty
  
• Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
