**Holy Trinity Church Musician**

**Job Type: Part-time**

Holy Trinity is seeking an experienced church organist/choir director to continue our long-term musical excellence. The ideal candidate would possess knowledge of a wide range of church music, excellent keyboard skills for pipe organ and piano, and the ability to effectively lead and direct adult and childrens choirs. Possessing the technology skills to coordinate and assemble digital music files for remote worship services is a plus.

Current COVID-19 situation:

Holy Trinity needs a church musician to help us re-start our music program while complying with Covid safety practices. The churchs Music and Worship Committee relies on the advice of a Covid safety committee to plan worship services. Currently, our in-person worship requires masks and social distancing. There is some congregational singing.

**Part Time Position**

5-8 hours per week (Depending on the ability to hold rehearsals)

Salary is commensurate with experience and educational degrees

**Duties and Responsibilities**

* Play for all Sunday and special services

* (If situation allows) Conduct weekly choir rehearsals (at this time small groups) with adult and childrens choirs

* Develop, incorporate, and lead musical talent (vocalists, instrumentalists, liturgical cantors, etc.)

* Collaborate with Pastor in planning worship, selecting hymns, and providing support to the Worship and Music Committee

* Assist with planning and production of a recorded worship (current) and the streaming of a live service (long-term goal).

**Qualifications**

* Demonstrated proficiency on pipe organ and piano; Holy Trinity pipe organ is a Wicks organ with 22 ranks, 1245 pipes, 4 small blowers, 8 great division principal, 4 swell.

* Ability to sight read music, to play the Lutheran liturgy, and accompany other musicians

* Leadership and interpersonal skills with people of all ages

* Ability to develop, direct, and accompany volunteer choir

* Familiarity with and ability to play various genres of music

* Compliance with all background check procedures
